Saturday Morning: Basic Periodontal Therapy
• 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of hands-on laboratory
• Open
to veterinarians, technicians, and assistants Attendees will gain
expertise in performing a dental prophylaxis including supra and
subgingival scaling and root planning (both ultrasonic andhand),
polishing, oral exam and charting, and periocuticapplication.
Saturday Afternoon: Dental Radiology
• 1hour of lecture and 3 hours of hands-on laboratory
• Open
to veterinarians, technicians, and assistants
Take the frustration
out of dental radiology. Attendeeswill learn how to take full mouth
dog and cat radi-ographs. We will use a new technique which does
NOTrequire determining bisecting angles. Anyone can takediagnostic
radiographs easily and consistently.
Sunday Morning: Basic extraction techniques
•Open to veterinarians, technicians, and technicians
in training
•1hour lecture and 3 hours of hands-on laboratory
The
lecturepart will initiate with a discussion of equipment needs
and then coverpain management. Following this, we will cover techniques
for single and double root teeth in both lectureand laboratory
sessions.
Afternoon: Advanced extraction techniques
•30 minutes
lectureand 3.5 hours of handson laboratory
This laboratory is designed
for veterinarians with significant extraction experience. This
lab will cover carnassial, molar,and canine extractions as well
as ONF repair.
