I Dental Weekend
Saturday
Basic periodontal therapy and dental radiology
• 4 hours of lecture and 4 hours of hands-on laboratory
• Open to veterinarians, technicians, and assistants
Attendees will gain expertise in performing a
dental prophylaxis including scaling and root
planning, oral exam and charting, and periocutic
application. The second half of the laboratory will
teach attendees how to take full mouth dog and
cat radiographs.
Sunday
Morning:
Basic extraction techniques
• Open to veterinarians, technicians, and
technicians in training
• 30 minutes lecture and 4 hours of hands-on
laboratory
The lecture part includes
a discussion of equipment
needs and covers pain
management.
Extraction
techniques for single and
double root teeth are
covered in both lecture
and laboratory sessions.
Afternoon:
Advanced extraction techniques
• 30 minutes lecture and 4 hours of hands
on laboratory
This laboratory is designed for those with significant
extraction experience. This lab will cover carnassial,
molar, and canine extractions as well as ONF
repair.
